  • Managed the day to day operations and strategic vision for the Office of State Representative Keisha Waites, which included managing multiple staffers, developing a community focused legislative agenda, launching numerous community initiatives, devising a successful media strategy, and nurturing relationships with various community stakeholders.
  • Worked with other legislators, staffers, lobbyists and activists on several pieces of legislation and appropriations issues, including eliminating Georgia's waiting list for the lifesaving AIDS Drug Assistance Program, which grew to become the largest waiting list in the country.
  • Secured several key meetings with leaders throughout the district including the mayors of the cities of College Park, Forest Park, East Point and Hapeville to discuss the Representative's legislative agenda, local community initiatives and secure endorsements for the 2012 democratic primary election. 
  • Developed and lead numerous special projects, initiatives and community outreach programs, including the “Retrofit District 60 Initiative” in partnership with local nonprofit “Retrofit A Million” to provide thousands of eco-friendly and cost saving light bulbs to district 60 residents.
  • Secured Rep. Waites several notable television and print media appearances targeted to increase her level of public  exposure and the public's knowledge concerning her legislative platform.

  • Provided legislative support services, implemented strategies on engaging the public, cultivated relationships with the media, and provided political and policy advisement to DeKalb County Commissioner Lee May.
  • Administered and developed the Commissioner’s media strategy that included; developing press releases, creating newsletters, booking interviews with local & national news outlets and managing all the of the Commissioner’s social media accounts.
  • Served as a surrogate for the commissioner at various public events and official meetings, including a 2011 regional leaders briefing at the White House with senior federal officials.  
  • Coordinated the Commissioner’s official county government responsibilities, campaign task and outside political activities. This included the promotion of his new book “My God My Politics” and his appearances on CNN, as a weekend political contributor.   
  • Was instrumental to the Commissioner's re-election in the 2012 July Democratic primary, securing 65% of the vote.
